Spray Equipment & Service Center is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our work team. The purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of our shipping and receiving department.

Job Duties
- Receive all incoming packages delivered via FedEx, UPS, general carriers, and other deliveries to the store. Match up packing slips with deliveries. After matching received items with the purchase order, log in merchandise received.
- Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Regularly lift and move packages weighing up to 75 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques to maintain safety. Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. Constant exposure to heat and cold (indoor/outdoor).
- Ship appropriate parts for customers providing same-day service when parts are available. Ensure inventory counts are accurate at time of shipment.
- Ensure proper labeling and packing of shipments to prevent damage or loss.
- Complete bill of lading, including if item is hazardous, etc. Ensure prompt pickup and delivery of item(s).
- Close out UPS manifests daily.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations. Ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to meet operational needs while minimizing excess inventory.
- Diligently follow up with vendors on acknowledgements and back-order updates.
- Coordinate with service department and vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, shipments, and deliveries. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
- Inspect and evaluate incoming inventory for quality and accuracy. Identify and report any issues or discrepancies to management.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and inventory optimization. Make recommendations to streamline inventory management processes and improve inventory accuracy.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements. Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.
- Assist in purchasing for the branch.
- Occasional pickup and/or delivery of parts required.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Must be able to stand for up to 7 hours a day.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient computer knowledge.
- Experience in purchasing, customer service and/or shipping & receiving preferred.
- Experience with a multi-line phone system preferred.
- Experience with a forklift is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
