How SprayLab Works
The fist step in designing a finishing system is to determine the
best application method (HVLP, air spray, air assist airless, airless,
conventional or electrostatic). Once the best method of application
is determined, automatic, semi-automatic, or manual applications
are tested and defined.
After the spray application method is defined and
proven, flash time schedules are determined to meet the coatings’ requirements.
The method of curing is then tested using convection or infrared
or infrared hybrid methods. After proving out the curing method,
cool time schedules are tested and documented. The finishing system
is then ready for the Spray Equipment Engineering Department to define
system layout, best utilizing floor space and vertical space. All
of this is done without interruption to the customer’s production
line.
